If that is true, then the solution to dealing with them is not to humiliate them further. They would either need their society almost totally destroyed- as Japan's was after WWII, so that what was originally there was almost totally raised, leaving a vacuum in which to build a new society, or we should leave them alone.

The Arab world is suffering a crisis of humiliation.

One rather serious problem with this argument. It's not all Arabs that are involved in jihadist attacks. These kinds of psychic/cultural arguments explain too much. Better to work out from bin Laden than down from some putative Arab culture/psychic argument.
