I'm drawn to this type of company like
a moth to a lantern. We all want to believe
in "personalized medicine"--but my GP
never takes a drop of blood and I doubt he
ever will.

But that hasn't anything to do with the "druggable
genome" does it? It almost seems as if we have
entered the age when a handful of biochemists
can access Chembank, the Hapmap, and (with the
right handful of guinea pigs for tissue samples)
snag a few million, and discover a drug. Well,
at least start a little biotech.

Heh, that is 'my side of the story'. I am a
meteorologist with no chemistry or biology
education. It would be wonderful if a scientist
such as yourself would lead this thread and point
to articles of interest!
