I will not break thread or decency rules to say exactly how fatuous I find this argument.

We've had this argument at least once since I started posting on the thread. No doubt several times before. I've taken it as a healthy sign as to just how diverse the views here are and how well the civility rules hold up.

But as a project for your self-improvement, consider the concepts 'democracy', 'law', 'decision of the majority' and 'consent' as they might apply here.

Democracy means people get to vote on what they take from you (or on who gets to make the decisions about what is taken), and in many cases(but not all) you get to vote as well.

Law doesn't mean a lot in this context. Hopefully the tax is legal, but even if it is, it just means it is approved by a legislature and isn't unconstitutional. The act itself is the same.

Decision of the majority, is basically the same as democracy.

Consent really doesn't apply. You aren't asked for your consent and you don't really have a choice not to give it.
