Krueggerands and Eagles aren't pure gold, about 22k.
Maple leafs are 4 nines, Koalas and Pandas three nines.

I think you may want something with clearly marked metal content in a familiar size : 1 ounce, 1/2 ounce, 1/4 ounce, etc.
Maples, Eagles, Koalas, Kruegerrands AND Pandas are marked this way.

The newer Austrian Philharmonics are in standard sizes of 1/10, 1/4, etc. Older Phillharmonics have values of 0.44 oz.

Contrast with Wyoming:

1. No sales tax.

2. Platinum too expensive, nobody buying platinum coins.

3. Palladium relatively unknown. Dealers only seen palladium maples twice.

4. Best seller -- bags of US junk silver (pre 1965 i think), $1000 face has 715 oz of silver in it.

5. Gold eagles and maple leafs most popular gold coins.

6. Krugerand less popular and less expensive because of it.

... i would say gold firmly got past the flirting stage and is now pumping away deeply within the 600 space :0)

as to a pullback, we blinked, and it happened :0)
