If you are talking about '1999', Shorty... I have no doubt that they floated feelers. Not that it did them any good, though, for SEVERAL REASONS. 1) The FRENCH control ALL of Niger's yellow cake production (NOT the Niger government), and the production has been pre-sold for years into the future. 2) Couldn't have been a very urgent 'need' for yellow cake by Iraq --- since they ALREADY HAD 500 tons of yellow cake back in Baghdad that they'd bought in the 1980s! <GGG>
