By 2008, the war will either be over or so badly discredited that every candidate is more or less a peace candidate. The war vs. peace debate probably only matters this year for the mid-terms, and this year any candidate who backs GW Bush, even in red states, is likely to go down swinging.

They just had a piece on TV about this pro-Bush, very conservative Iraqi war vet who acts like it's still 9-12-01 and nothing has happened since. Despite running in Bush's own district where Bush got 70% in 2004, the candidate is way behind. Chew on that. Bush has more than a 50% disapproval rating in Texas now.
