Hitchens, himself, is flawed. He's, right now, doing the best he can to save face from how he reported in the war's run-up. Unlike Andrew Sullivan, among several others, Hitchens has yet to repent. He's grasping at straws.

If you're looking for any kind of verification of the Hersh reporting, this can best be seen from the behavior of high-ranking military officials, former CIA and Department of State officials.

KLP, don't you remember all the debate we had in the run-up toward the war? Fact is that you and your posting allies were wrong. What makes you think anything's different today? In my view, it's best not to ignore the Hersh reporting, keeping in mind how he reported in the run-up to the war--he was right; Hitchens was wrong. Hitchens still is wrong!
