I will go a step further and say post 9/11 republican strategy needs to be upgraded now that five years have lapsed since 9/11 this fall. We now need a post/post 9/11 strategy that allows us to deal more with reality than with romantic foreign adventurism. Onward democratic soldiers needs to be refined to reflect reality in the hotspots. Nuking iran would be another flight of fancy. Sy Hersh may be way off base but some conservatives have argued for use of nukes right here on SI.
