Re: "you might expect the AP to provide some evidence that actually ties the White House...." Well, the PHONE CALLS themselves (public info from the trial) are 'evidence'. (After all, the guy on ONE end of the calls was actively committing a felony at the time he made those calls....) But, as long as the WH REFUSES to say who's phone number that was (they are claiming that 'we don't talk about matters that are in the courts :), then there is no way to see if there is any 'there' there. Right now all there is is SMOKE. People can suspect fire, but they won't be able to know for sure until the answers are under oath.
