Big pr disaster for Bush. During the levee breach, photo ops showed him strumming a guitar as well as eating cake. "good work, Brownie" didn't play well either. Someone said he'd taken time from his vacation before the disaster to meet with officials about potential scenarios. Actually, he only had to walk down the hall of his Crawford ranch home to his video-conferencing room. I thought of how other presidents might have handled the situation. I think Jimmy Carter - rocket scientist - would have concluded beforehand that the situation was dire. The day of the levee breach, he and Rosalynn would have flown there. Clinton would have done something AND felt their pain, too. Nixon and deputy drug marshall Elvis would have responded post haste...
