I guess the next point is to determine how one goes about containing militant Islam considering that it is just about everywhere. I think it has to be fought, eventually, because containment is impossible given its precepts, i.e., conquest and submission of infidels. At the end of the day, it is a battle of ideas. Ours, embodied in the ideas behind liberal western democracies, don't cut it because they cannot, thanks to their nature, be adhered to as passionately as the Islamists adhere to their religious dogma. Heck of a conundrum.
