Nukes to stop nukes is dumb. I think our policy should be to delay what now seems inevitable for as long as possible. If we are able to, we should try to destabilize iran as well. If you want to galvanize public opinion against us in iran, bomb them. We might or might not knock out or significantly delay them but at what cost. It's better to be smart there and gets the russians involved on our side. Russians blasted Iran today by the way. They too are beginning to get nervous about what irans real intentions are. We all seem to think that they are hell bent on attacking israel and being subsequently destroyed. More likely they are looking to flex their muscles in the Gulf and create a small nuclear force which can control the actions of bordering nations who dont want a stray nuke landing on their capital city. When the soviets support for the arabs crossed a line back in the day, the israelis signaled moscow, that they could become a target. Yes the soviets/russians could destroy israel and iran many times over but it wouldnt take much to destroy the heart and soul of a country with nukes so if i was putin and/or the EU i would be worried over future blackmail.
