I have no idea what you are talking about. Were you thinking your post applied to my post? Do you realize that saying something about posts is different from saying things about people? I don't consider it rude to discount an idea, or a post. But I do consider it rude to go after people personally. I would have thought that was clear from what I've said, for years. Apparently not. We can, of course, discuss what constitutes rudeness, and the elements of a personal attack. I would find it fascinating to go over all this in the most minute detail with you. But let us start with the definition of personal. By which I mean, pertaining to the person, and not to a general idea. I do not think posts are personal when they talk about ideas, or facts- as long as those ideas are not about a fellow poster, or "facts" (real or imagined) about a fellow poster. When we can decide we agree on what is personal we can go on to everything else.
