Michael, America helped to install governments in both Iran and Iraq--I don't think we did this in a fair-deal oil scheme.

Oil--like gold, diamonds, copper, tin, timber, rubber, etc.--is a resource for which we've raped many a nation over in order to get. The primary tool for doing this has been either establishing a dictator or dealing with one. The poor folks who've lived in those nations got little, if anything.

No one has done as much to help terrorists as Bush-Cheney. forget their tough rhetoric and look at the results. Clearly their priority is not to fight terrorists but to make their cronies richer, the US more dependent upon oil and to keep the wars going in order to hold onto power and, again, make more money for their cronies.

So far, everything Bush-Cheney have done before 9-11 and since Tora Bora has been self-defeating in this country's war on terror, but has made their pals richer. Which is one reason a top general today called for Rumsfield to resign. And since Rummy works closely with Cheney and Bush that means they too are responsible for the great blunders.

Plus, the 9-11 Commission gave Bush an "F" on most areas of Homeland Security four years after 9-11.
