Our private system has 25-32% of the costs absorbed by overhead and corporate profits. Anybody in an HMO has probably had his doctor tell him that he has to check in with a bean counter before prescribing some medicine or treatment.

JF, Single payer health care is MUCH cheaper. Check the facts.

O RLY? I've seen the "facts" you refer to, and I'm not convinced.

Plus, I'm not sure I want the same guys who brought us Hurricane FEMA in charge of universal health care. Or do you think that problem will be solved by simply getting rid of Bush?
