We have never had a viable military option for Iran. Reagan's solution was to arm Iraq and Iran both and let them kill each other. Also, they are a lot closer to Russia than they are to our allies, so they are really not in our sphere of influence to begin with. Bottomline now, Bushies would love to think up some fear campaign/war emergency to bolster Bush's poll numbers, but if they try it with Iran it's going to backfire. They can't start the fight, you see. They already tried that once. We'd have to be attacked. And that ain't gonna happen.
