I don't care about defending Intel. AMD has to have a plan to increase profits in a way that Intel cannot prevent. If they can, it will be a great stock. All AMD has now is a tweak here, and bigger cache there. If they plan to grab for 30% market share with such a weak hand, Intel will drive them into negative earnings.

The other way for AMD to win their announced share is to have true low cost manufacturing. it is just plain silly to think that can be done by outsourcing to Chartered. And even more silly to expect it at this point from a partially utilized fab 36. maybe after fab 36 is at full capacity, and all the products are converted to 65 nm, maybe then talk of increasing share will make sense. At this time, it does not.
