combjelly, let's not get into nitpicking. Yes I know about Ken Olsen and DEC and that HP bought out DEC and got alpha in the process, and spark is capitalized. But hopefully you'll agree these factoids are irrelevant to the main point. By the way, in the late 80's I managed a facility that had a few DEC VAX 8600's in it.

You know, now I've finally understood how AMD's proponents come to their belief. I think it is dislike of Intel that magnifies AMD's virtues. Even to the point of giving credibility to sharikou's local copy.
