Certainly advertising dollars have started to move to other media and they have to come from somewhere. The story in alternative media is that it is such a small percentage of overall ad spending that even a small shift in the size of their respective slice of the pie will result in somebody getting very rich. That said, it is still the size of the pie in the ad cycle.

As to ad creation, still, even after how many years of the Internet and widespread broadband adoption most online ad content is simply repackaged campaigns from dead tree or TV media runs. "Oh, can you also make some screen res jpegs for us to use on our site if we need them later if it won't cost us too much more."

Yeah, maybe you get some annoying ad dancing across your Yahoo screen, at least until you find the x to click to kill it! The real online money is in search. There is no "creative dept" in search except in getting creative with those keywords!
