Did you win or lose? No one ever loses or wins in academic debates. OK so if the black market is an example of Capitalism...... "The only way to stop a black market is to withdraw the laws that created it" Correct. This is what is always done, but usually the public isn't told. Something like the sudden disappearance of the Soviet Union. and we withdrew the laws that created them. What would we have then? We would have an efficient within its model form of free market capitalism. The problem with black market capitalism is it isn't a particularly efficient form because it precludes the economies of scale possible when individual participants can get large. Black markets make such economies difficult to put together. American wealth was built on these scales, not on American ingenuity or any other advertised factors.
