"I think the same could be said about race relations in Europe as well."

Or anywhere. I went through a round of this before I married my wife. She was pretty smug in her believe of how racist Americans are. Especially southern ones. Then she moved here. Discovered that, if anything, people were often too placating to avoid even the appearance of being racist.

Yup. And that's especially true now with the illegals' demonstrations. They are here because of an American penchant for cheap labor. They are guests who are taking advantage of the situation. Their loyality is to Mexico and they insist on that loyalty while we look the other way while they break the law.

And yet, Americans are afraid to say squat for fear of sounding racist. This has got to stop. There are too many urgent problems for us to be hiding behind political correctness.

I got into a big fight with some of the women in my cohort. I am tired of hearing about how bad the white male is and that they are the privileged members of society. I will spare you the details but I made it clear to them that I may be a white male but my life has been far from privileged to date. I don't know what surprised them more.......that I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth, or that I had the cojones to complain about their 'feelings of oppression'.
