Reagan or not, that was pretty much the birth of the neoconservatives.

Certainly the "voodoo economics" that Bush has adopted were born in the Reagan admin. I don't think he's a believer, but he DOES know that giving people tax cuts while billing the future and spending like a drunken sailor is a political winner for a sociopath with opportunism and grateful cronys in mind. Some OTHER President, probably a Democrat, can pay after he's long gone, as far as the chimp Caesar is concerned - just like some OTHER President can get us out of Iraq.

Reagan, to his credit, finally saw that "supply side economics" WAS voodoo, didn't work and raised taxes, as did Poppy Bush.
