It's truly insane. The carrying capacity of that land is very low, only scrub grows there now. It's probably not even fit for ranching and grazing, that's how little vegetation is there. I'm very familiar with the location as it's on my way to Vegas from Phoenix....there's a damn good reason no one has lived there for centuries, namely lack of water, isolation, ferocious heat in the summer and lack of proximity to anything resembling civilization. By the time they get it ready to build on, gas will probably be 5+ dollars/gallon, which should really encourage folks who crave that 140 mile round trip commute......in a few years you could spend more on gas than on your mortgage note!<G/NG>
