I have been told that people from India like Maple Leafs because their purity, since it will probably be made into jewellrey.

There are some technical applications that would prefer the 4 nines purity.

It also occurs to me that at 4 9's this could be used a semiconductor bonding wire. It appears that 4 9's might be a good input for the process of making bonding wire, it is no longer used directly as pure gold.

The argument that it is better to have something which is not as easily damaged is a good one.

I think I will buy a alloy type gold coins next time.

I like idea of having what ever the buyer will want, if he is going to pay be $3,000 an ounce.
