I was referring to out of pocket cost to them...before, during and after treatment.I am well aware that this system "costs"...big time..and there is plenty of waste and inefficiency..What are the alternatives??Can you come up with a better system for all ...not just the rich. The "haves" still have a choice ....not satisfied ??? Go south of the border to the Mayo Clinic check book in hand ...then,when they get the bill .. they might get an understanding of the ""TRUE"" private health care costs. Yes any person, that has a positive outcome, after going through our medical system...gets their life back...any person.How would they reflect back on the positive outcome...only negatively??? Neither you or anyone else seems to want to venture a guess at the ratio... here.. ""think back on all the occasions you can remember of friends and family being involved with our health care system...were there positive outcomes ...or all negative??What is the ratio??"" Why has the life expectancy of the population of Canada for both men and women been increasing year over year??It should be decreasing considering the contaminated air we breath, and water we drink.The answer must point to our health care system. There is graft, corruption , mismanagement, misdeeds, stupidity in everything we do...look at Nortel, worldcom , Enron, Gomery, gun registry etc....why in the world do you think the health care system would be void of them??Make it better if we can..yes..I think it is better than mediocre and no I am not complacent...but do not want to, always be involved, in the Ain't it awful game Yes, K we can agree to disagree.<gg> gg
