Well, I didn't spend the money on the browser, but the hardware and operating system. But I'll give it a shot.

Banc of America Investments web site will not accept the Firefox browser--or Netscape, for that matter. Only Explorer. That was what deterred me from experimenting with the Linux operating system, which uses Firefox as its browser.

Any opinions in advance about the new Windows operating system scheduled for early next year? I just spent about $40 or so to get a surplus Dell OEM version of XP to install on a laptop that I got on eBay for $127.50 (for traveling).

I am afraid that Microsoft has got me by the balls. Norton Antivirus may be desperate; they have allowed me to install one copy of the 2004 version on several computers and given a free year-long subscription to all updates.
