It's interesting that Tom Clancy has come so far over from his earlier novels where American is capable of defeating China with a few technological doodads to his present position with Zinni on Iraq. The interviews I have seen with him in recent years really look like a different guy....no cockiness or the old Tom Clancy bravado.
