ROTFLOL.... clancy is an excellent writer of fiction. In his earlier novels his tactics based storylines were quite on the mark and showed an understanding of the application of the underlying technology in the limited sphere of the novel. Later novels while still entertaining fiction, but revealed all number of really dumb lapses in knowing of existing technology that if considered made the storyline boring and predictable.

I am amused at any who would reveal their ignorance by suggesting "He was adored by the pentagon crowd " I have no doubt many may have enjoyed reading his books, but adored... LOL....

The humor here is that a pinhead in the sander cannot tell fiction from the real world.

Tech. means nothing to a camel kissing terrorist in the city limits of Baghdad.. That is recognized by everyone, not just Clancy. Now and again, a smart bomb can be used to kill a few in a bunker or hut, but by and large, in this war on terror, it is going to be just gut them and leave them on the side of the road type warfare.

lefties sure do want your cake and eat it too. You were against the war and screamed the whole way TO Baghdad, now you scream because the military did not slaughter every living thing outside the city. We COULD have done that, you know, but can you imagine the libber press out there filming that scene. Thousands and thousands of Iraqis piled up like cordwood?
