I thought you'd enjoy knowing about it, and even in the beginning never suggested I believed it, I just reported it. I was just glad you've found that I reported accurately, and didn't accuse me of making it up.

In point of fact, I do NOT admit or say that it was a lie. You say the author lied, and you are very mistaken to say that when in fact his blurb may have been nothing more than an honest error(especially given his/her obvious shortcomings in math as noted). He/she may have already accounted for the error.

I wonder what letters to the editor had to say in later issues? I'd think there MUST have been something on this one. Maybe not, but I'd hope the author either admitted to an error, or backed up his/her numbers (and even if so, he/she would have to admit he got the percentages wrong).
