I don't disagree that Americans are skillful. I disagree that the correct amount of effort was applied. Heavens, look at the status three years after insertion. Tom, I believe you are the only person who believes the military situation at present is tenable. It will either get much better (government is formed, Iraqis step up on their own security) or much worse. One reason the retired generals are speaking out now is that the tipping point is at hand.
