Drumming is very mesmerizing, if you allow your mind to roll with it. Once the Coeur d'Alene tribe was drumming at the Cataldo Mission, which is the old Jesuit Mission we drive by on the way to Montana. We stopped to listen, and it was very hard to pull away.

I wanted to buy an Inuit drum made of Walrus gut when I was in Alaska. They are the very deep boom boom drums on a hoop with a handle such that you can beat on both sides of the same membrane. They are too expensive, though. I found one with a repaired tear that I could afford, but since I wanted to play it, I was afraid the tear would breach and I'd be left with nothing.
