how exactly do you see the debt and speculation gets cleansed and the imbalances corrected without a depression? the seeds for the next depression were planted by Greenspan and our reckless government spending. It's either take our medicine now or destroy our country's currency. I don't want a depression. I just believe it's a given at this point and the sooner the better. The longer we try to delay the pain, the deeper and longer the ultimate washout. Encouraging debt induced spending and speculation is not a path toward long term sustainable prosperity.

There is nothing "healthy" about 25% unemployment. It's a greater waste to have unused human resources--which must be fed, clothed, and housed just to stay alive--than any other possible economic waste. All those brittneys that watch fear factor probably don't like you - While they suck down starbucks and applebees, in 300 dollar designer jeans, in thier mcmansions snorting the next line of cocaine. What value would you have them add to society? They are not smart enough to find a genetic solution to the hayflick limit - too self absorbed to baby sit your kids. What is left for them?
