I've been taking a potassium/magnesium supplement to keep my BP down. Eye Dr. said no supplements for 2 weeks before surgery so I quit taking it. Check up had my lower number at 83, right normal on most charts, but this Dr. wanted it to be in the 70s. I told him twice about the supplement and he prescribed an ACE inhibitor. Now the important part. Looked up the pills on the net, WARNING, DON'T TAKE POTASSIUM SUPPLEMENTS WHILE TAKING THESE PILLS, YOU WILL DIE OF POTASSIUM POISONING. It would have been nice if the SOB had mentioned that. Always look on the net before taking any medication!
