eracer - I'm thinking more like the "bandwidth efficiency" is going to go up as the core runs faster; it just doesn't seem to be externally hungry enough yet to use it up. I have little reason to believe AMD can't design an efficient DDR2 controller(they did wonderfully with DDR1), so I'd have to consider what else could be the case. Although, depending on what happens with K8L(and when), it may be a moot point.

Agreed on the L3, I think that's not until K8L.

I do find it fascinating that they have been able to fine-tune things on such a fine-grained time scale.
