In the recent conference call Hector Ruiz claimed that "our road-map continues to convince our customers...".

You may be quite wrong about your "alleged" lack of future AMD product to keep Intel behind.

Now let's first see if Intel succeeds in rolling out those leap frogging new product on time or not. I have a hunch...

That is how INTC gets AMD every time.

The real battle is in multi-core chips.
Intel will not be able to compete there until they have an interconnect solution that is much better than front-side-buss.
