"formerspook" comments about the Generals who asked for Rummy's head

I didn't even have to read the story in the paper the other day, I knew it from the headline. I said, "its Zinni and Shinseki's Revenge".

I watched the Al Aribiya interview with Rumsfeld on TV yesterday, and he was very gracious about it. He has better self control than I do, for sure.

"formerspook"

I worked with for the Army for a lot of years. I wouldn’t try a disinformation campaign against the Army. You should hope they don’t read this stuff. You had better be right in your smears or you will create more Democrats.

He also found Army leadership was reluctant to accept change--so much so, that when he was looking for a new Army Chief of Staff, he recalled an officer (General Peter Schoomaker) from retirement for the job. Rumsfeld's selection was viewed as a slap at the current generation of Army three and four-star generals. Now, three years after the invasion of Iraq, some of those generals are having their revenge, using criticism of the war as convenient cover.

That's the key to the Rumsfeld hatred by the retired Generals.

Earlier today, Gen Wesley Clark reiterated on FOX of all places, his opposition to Rumsfeld....Said he said so loud and clear when he ran for President.....

FOX gave him a mic and he ran with it....NO other media source gives both sides of an issue....most of them seem to be proud of their onesided views....
