Whatever happened to Universities being "marketplaces of ideas?" Are all ideas worthy of promulgating in that forum? I suppose there's support among some conservatives for the idea that civil rights for homosexuals is evil, that women are intellectually inferior to men, that Intelligent Design is as scientifically valid as evolution, that liberalism is a mental illness, and so forth. And then conservatives wonder why they're losing so much ground in academia.
