"Did I ever claim that INTC's profit had increased y/y ?"

Well then please help me out. Now that we know that AMD's profit has increased by $200M YoY, how much do you think that INTC's will increase in the same period, or perhaps you think it might have declined in the same interval?

"When I said that Intel will make multiples of AMD's profit, that was in response to a post from someone who said that "Intel would bleed a river"."

Funny thing is that someone appears to be you. Hmmm:

"By the way, please update us on your AMD revenue estimates. I don't mean in the contentious way of "I was right - you were wrong".

Instead I mean did you discover why the estimate was incorrect ? and how should one go about improving the accuracy of estimating AMD revenue.

Too early to say. I'll have to wait for a comparison of AMD/INTC's Q1 financials to see if they provide any insights ;-), (you know: gm trends, profit trends, revenue trends etc.) but if I had to guess at the moment, I'm thinking that INTC pressed the panic button in Q1 and dumped a lot of its bloated Q4 inventory and AMD was unwilling to play that game.

Oh yeah, one other thing: Did I miss your Q1 revenue estimate for AMD? ;-)
