No you didn't. You posted a link from Tiger Direct. Who moves a lot of merchandise that they get from other retailers who need to unload stale product for what ever they can get. Tiger isn't a direct Intel customer, although they might buy from distributors. Their prices in no way reflect what Intel is selling their products for. It especially doesn't reflect what OEMs, who buy the bulk of both AMD's and Intel's products, are paying.

Pricewatch is a bit better because when you look at the prices from various vendors, you get a better idea of the gray market. Given the ready availability of tray product for Intel, it looks like Intel had stuffed the channel in Q405, especially on the low end.

Only on some models. By no means have they slashed prices across all categories where they compete with AMD. Notebook chips, for example, are still higher than AMD despite some significant market share erosion in Q106.
