"The tides are turning in the semiconductors war, said Cramer. Although conventional wisdom says that Advanced Micro Devices (AMD:NYSE - commentary - research - Cramer's Take) has had a great run and that Intel (INTC:Nasdaq - commentary - research - Cramer's Take) would mount a comeback, "the conventional wisdom couldn't be more wrong."

Cramer said that investors now have an entry point to buy AMD, as the company has been making a serious comeback even though it is still despised.

People are prejudiced and aren't capable of thinking that Intel might lose to AMD, but "Intel doesn't have the essential qualities that make it better than AMD," he said.

AMD needs to take more market share from Intel -- and they will, Cramer said. They're targeting 30% of the processor market, and Cramer said they will get it."... From Pg 2 thestreet.com
