Nobody talks about nuking Canada or the Swiss.

And to call for nuking Israel is OK? I don't think that isolationism is a solution. It was probably never an option, really - not since the advent of technology and the shrinking of the world. I accept NONE of Osama bin Laden's "reasons" for bombing NYC. In the final analysis he did it because he is a f*cking nut - and if people like him get nukes, Canada and the Swiss will be in trouble too.

((that's why a country should be self sufficient and stay out of the affairs of other nations/cultures ... [like] Canada or the Swiss.))

Good point. They don't choose sides. The Swiss are equal-opportunity money launderers. They'll hide any despot's ill-gained loot. Nazi gold, Salina's Mexican loot, Yamashita's Gold from the Philipines, God knows whose narcotics money. They take all comers. Maybe somebody should talk about nuking the Swiss [bankers that is!]

Umm, and Canada was highly complicit recently in the destabilization of Haiti. As wonderful as we Canuck's "nice guy" image is, we're not clean by any means. We just do it on a much smaller scale, and with less ambition. Basically, Canada's is North American capitalism's "good cop".
