"Nothing good comes easily, it may take a while before everything is finally accomplished..." Agree, GZ. But the Iraqui leaders are playing a massive game of "chicken" right now. America is providing the protection and the financing for the enterprise. If there is not immediate incentive to compromise....well, just hang on a while longer and see if the other guy blinks. In other parlimentary systems (heck, even the palistinians), the realities of of actually having to GOVERN force compromise and formation of some kind of governing method. Not in Iraq...where Uncle Sam does a lot of the dirty work while the politicians doodle away. Now, if we actually threatened to start to pull out our support....and meant it...would that get them going? Some think so. I hope you don't feel we can still be in this kind of situation six months from now?
