blandbutmarvelous re Iran

You are underestimating Iran and overestimating the U.S. We will do nothing but bluster and our military will not allow the administration to make the mistake of attacking Iran.

I concur. Reopening the straits would be a cakewalk. A slam dunk. And when we invade Iran, the Iranians will greet us as saviors, prostrating themselves at our feet and showering us with flower petals and lapis lazuli. The womenfolk will greet us with their burkhas hiked to the waist, legs akimbo. And on the next day, people throughout the Middle East will spontaneously join hands and break into impromptu renditions of Kumbaya. And that's only the beginning. Now if you'll excuse me I must go get a refill on this Kool Aid I've been drinking.
