I'd rather go hunting with Cheney than riding with Ted...

Bush and Cheney are both former serious alcoholics.
But the rightwing attacks Kennedy for drinking. Yes, Kennedy does drink, but so far as I've heard he's never missed a day's work, is crystal clear on the job and holds his liquor. The classic Irishman.

Kennedy already paid a huge price for Chappaquiddick. He was denied the Dem nomination for president, which he deserved after the rightwing plotters murdered his two brothers.

I find it revealing that both Kennedy and Cheney avoided getting breathalyzed after their accidents. Cheney has more DUI's than Kennedy.

Interesting.....there are claims he was drunk when he shot his friend. Does Mr. Cheney have a drinking problem? Is that what makes him so unpleasant? It would not surprise me.
