As an aside: I remember being in Arabia in '79 ... it seemed the Saudi people really loved gold. In every little town I visited, people were selling / buying bars of gold (not exactly for tourists - since there were no tourists). It was like $20K gold bars (if I remember correctly). Of course that was when the price of gold was really taking off ... With all the petrodollars flowing into Arabia again like in '79, and other oil countries, I wonder if there is significant gold buying by individuals again.
