"Sure, there are plenty of bad apples in the bunch, but for the most part they do good work at half the cost." The song of the "cheap labor Repugnican"! It also means half the benefit for the worker, but for you guys, it's a GOOD thing. If you could somehow bring back slavery - it would be even BETTER!

Ted, Its a myth they all work hard for little money. That's the reputation based on the experiences of employer after employer. Sure, there are plenty of bad apples in the bunch, but for the most part they do good work at half the cost. I have worked with tons of illegals.....some are good and some are not. The employers will not bad mouth them for two reasons and two reasons only........they're cheap and they don't complain. How are we supposed to deal with that? If we don't deal with, there will be other consequences......most of them negative. Frankly I'm not sure, except that in the long run we really ought to be doing a much better job educating our own kids. I guess that's where you come in. We also are educating the kids of the illegals, hiring special teachers who can teach them English, giving them free school lunches; having special classes, and buying additional school equipment, none of which we get in return from the illegals through taxes. In other words, they get many of the benefits of citizenship without paying a dime. Who benefits? The illegals and their fat cat employers. Who gets screwed? You and I. In a million years, I will never understand your perspective nor your priorities.
