Re: "And you want to extrapolate to forever...."

No, Laz... but when you have to BORROW ALL THE MONEY to finance a war, then interest costs and the debt principal (as any accountant or economist will tell you) are part of the 'cost of the war' in the final analysis.

The Vietnam War, and the Korean War (two of the other wars the analysis made comparisons to) were by and large PAID FOR in REAL TIME --- not 'on the national credit card'.

REMEMBER the 10% income tax surcharge LBJ got enacted to pay for the war and to keep from having to go into debt?

REMEMBER how high income tax rates rose during the Korean War (what was the top rate... 90% or so?) to keep the nation from going into debt.

Cost is cost --- whether our generation pays for it, or the NEXT generation gets passed the bills.

I doubt the pinhead can ever figure it out. In any case the habitual liar I believe would prefer to weasel word with nonsense and shift away from the subject that identifies the self evident idiot.
