nonrev, I once talked to someone who had a less than ideal experience. He was a Czech whose mother worked for the national airline and was able to get one free ticket for him. He chose to go to Iceland, the most expensive destination. Being a Czech, he didn't have much money, and pitched a tent just outside of town. Apparently there was a horrible multi-day storm, his tent got blown down, and he spent his entire trip lying in a collapsed tent in a pile of mud. Glad your travel experiences were better!
