I think you are right. You will blame MSM and the portion of the american left that really roots against this country on the international stage. I would also add the gang who couldnt shoot straight who run our govt today. Sadly bush (and I)placed his trust in two old timers who have become this gens MacNamara and Rusk. What we needed was Cap and Henry and cheney and rummy arent of that ilk.

Not to minimize the loss of life, but something the left does not understand is that if the United States cannot withstand more than a few thousand fatalities, any country in the world can take us on in a war. America lost almost 7,000 men on Iwo Jima alone.
