Bush supports illegal immigration. He has been in power. He's done nothing about it. If you think anything is going to stop illegal immigration besides taking our 140,000 troops in Iraq and massing them along our border, you're unrealistic. And what about all our other borders? Canada and our coasts. One single cop is responsible for the entire coast of Oregon. And the Al Qaida types who've gotten into this country came in from Canada. Do you want to make it unlawful to hire illegal aliens and make our cops arrest bosses who do so? That's really the only way to stop it, by taking the jobs in the US away. If the jobs in the US dry up, many Mexicans will go home. But that's not realistic. We all benefit from cheap Mexican labor. Like it or not they are the foundation of our lifestyle. Can you imagine American women having to do all the housecleaning? And American men having to do all the dirty manual labor? No, we think we're too good for that. In short it's a real mess and there probably IS no answer.
